CANADIANS WORTH APPROXIMATELY $1,490.23
By Stockton

Canada gasped in disbelief when it learned that the average Canadian is worth the cost of a brand new 1985 Yugo.
Major Schmidt had mixed feelings about the finding. "It could have been worse," said the F-16 pilot. "Australians are $2,150 each and Brits are $3,100 apiece, but $12,000 for five. On the other hand, Italians are only $423 each, so I can't complain too much."
Schmidt's lawyers are considering filing an appeal. "The ruling is fundamentally flawed," said defense attorney Jim Stone. "There's simply no way Canadians cost more than Italians. I mean, how many good Canadian restaurants can you name."

U.S. Pilot Fined for Killing Canadian Soldiers
By Jeff Franks
HOUSTON (Reuters) - A U.S. Air Force pilot drew a sharp reprimand and a fine on Tuesday, but no confinement for mistakenly killing four Canadian soldiers in a 2002 bombing raid in southern Afghanistan.
Following a hearing last week, F-16 fighter pilot Maj. Harry Schmidt was found guilty of dereliction of duty and ordered to forfeit $5,672 in pay, the Air Force said.
