Dear Senator Richard Santorum:
The Federal Marriage Amendment has sunk faster than Howard Dean in Iowa. I blame the liberal/lefty godless traitors. You fought the good fight. Keep it up!
I have a sensitive timing issue that I hope you can help me with.
My wife is currently in the hospital after a very difficult labor (our 7th child). She may be hospitalized for weeks. However, my girlfriend keeps nagging me about finally leaving my wife and she (my girlfriend) believes now would be a good time.
How long will the FMA be dead? I can only assume you’ll keep fighting the good fight and eventually win. Please let me know if the FMA may pass in the next few weeks (while Patti is hospitalized). Right now, marriage as an institution is dead. It would appease my guilt to know that I’m not walking out on a viable institution. However, if there is a chance the FMA will pass, I want to break the news to my wife before its passage (preferably, while she’s still sore from the C-Section and can’t take a swing at me).
