THE EDJEWKASHUN PREZNIT
By Stockton

In 2000, then Governor Bush campaigned as an education reformer. One of the key components of his reformation was the No Child Left Behind Act. Bush also touted 'Charter' Schools as one alternative to traditional public schools. Some saw it as a cynical way to undermine public education. Others saw it as a sincere way to shake up a troubled system. Parents flocked to the 'Charter School' idea and so far, it has failed to meet expectations. Indeed, public schools are out performing 'Charter schools' according to a recent report.

Parents are outraged. "My kid always got poor grades in public school," said Enoch Thomas, of Scranton, Pennsylvania. "I assumed it was due to the poor quality of the public schools here in the area. Now I just found out it's because my kid is stupid. It's kind of a relief. At least I know he's not getting short changed. He's just dumb."

Sheryl Sgmbati of Mechanicville, NY agrees. "I guess I can't blame the schools for Mikey's grades anymore, but I do fault them for not letting me know Mikey Jr. was stupid. I would have liked to know earlier. It would have saved a lot of time and energy."

Failing schools or stupid children?
