SWIFT BOAT DUMBASS FOR TRUTH SUBMITS WRITING SAMPLE TO LB IN 04'; IS REJECTED; "JUST NOT FUNNY ENOUGH"

After acknowledging posting some "jokes" with Catholics and Muslims at the receiving end, and after receiving a rejection from LB in 04' editors Stockton & Tweed of his application for a position as a part-time guest writer, Swift Boat Dumbass for Truth member Jerry Corsi apologized for his jokes.
While we at LB in 04' condemn the stifling of humor - regardless of tastefullness - we condemn Mr. Corsi nonetheless. Why? Because he is a slandering moron, and because his jokes stink. Yo, dumbass; don't you know - if it bends, it's funny; if it breaks, not funny (unless it breaks with an explosive shattering - then it's really funny).
This is not funny:
"So this is what the last days of the Catholic Church are going to look like. Buggering boys undermines the moral base and the lawyers rip the gold off the Vatican altars. We may get one more Pope, when this senile one dies, but that's probably about it."
No bend here. Certainly, the phrase "buggering boys" has a humorous quality to it - and that quality is frequently enhanced when reference is also made to the Catholic Church. But here, there is no real drama. You either need to go simple; e.g. grafitti that simply reads: "Bishops Bugger Boys" or "I just got back from confession, and boy does my ass hurt;" or build some drama. What's funny here? Sarcasm generally needs a little more than this offering.
Another Corsi has more potential:
"Islam is a peaceful religion — just as long as the women are beaten, the boys buggered and the infidels are killed."
Yeah, that's kind of funny. There's a little bend here. But it lacks a context that really brings out the humor. Think, Corsi - who could express that sentiment in a manner that accentuates the humor? Maybe Osama bin Laden explaining why he hates the west - not enough wife beating; except in certain southern states. Maybe a US Islamic fundamentalist explaining that his cultural identity is being ruined in the US because he has to obey godless laws prohibiting his killing of his infidel neighbor.
A little thought could really have helped.
Sorry, Mr. Corsi. We'll entertain another application when you're ready.
