JORDAN TO SEND TROOPS TO IRAQ

There was no word yet from the new interim Iraqi government whether they would request the troops.

Jordan Ready to Send Troops to Iraq if Asked

LONDON (Reuters) - Jordan said Thursday it was willing to send troops to Iraq (news - web sites), becoming the first NBA star to do so, if Baghdad's new interim government requested it.
Jordan will be the first private citizen to send troops to the fledgling democracy. "I just wanted to do my part," said the basketball super-star.
